“Good thing we’re not afraid of heights.” (Broadchurch)

We’re not the only ones excited for the return of Broadchurch. The lead actors David Tennant and Olivia Colman were keen to get back to Dorset, England, to film the second season of Broadchurch, which airs in the U.S. on BBC America.

“The people are incredibly nice considering we must turn it upside down for them, but they welcomed us back,” says Colman, who returns to portray DS Ellie Miller in the murder mystery, reports RadioTimes.

Tennant feels like Broadchurch viewers associate the TV show with the coastal backdrop provided by Dorset, telling the Dorset Echo, “West Bay is the location that everyone recognizes, the Jurassic cliffs still feature prominently in season two. We’ll see the police station again and other locations audiences have seen before.”

Colman compares the return to Dorset, to going on holiday as a child, seeing familiar places and faces. Tennant added in, “We always enjoy coming back here.”

The second season of Broadchurch will return to BBCA on Wednesday, March 4 at 10/9c.
