You might think you’re seeing things when walking into Fenwick of Bond Street, London, and see the likes of Dame Judi Dench behind the counter, but that is no lookalike, nor is it opposite day.
The actress has signed on to work as a shop assistant for the charity Acting For Others, in collaboration with the Olivier Awards, tonight, April 10, from 8:00pm-10:00pm, according to Time Out London.
Dench might take on one of many roles including ringing up customers at the till (cash register), packing bags or helping pick out a frock.
Dench isn’t alone in this effort with other stars expected to attend including Joanna Lumley (Absolutely Fabulous), Christopher Biggins (French and Saunders), Kelly Brook (Skins), Sheila Hancock (New Tricks), Kara Tointon (EastEnders), Natalie Gumede (Coronation Street), Maria Friedman (Casualty), Emilia Fox (The Wrong Mans), Jim Carter (Downton Abbey) and Julian Fellowes (Downton Abbey).
