BBC America’s forthcoming show Copper (premiering Sunday, August 19 at 10/9c) examines life in NYC set in the 1860s. The majority of the costumes – 600 dresses, frock coats and union suits – were custom built versus relying on picked over rental shops. The folks over at Gothamist have put together a flip book of some cool looks from the show in Fabulous Fashions of 19th Century NYC Revisited in Copper.  We’re going to follow their lead and take a look at 19th Century Great Britain, chronicled in Victorian era films and mini-series!
