6. Secrets: Hidden in London

Northala Fields (London 2012 Festival)

Speaking of stone, artist Mira Calix has created an interactive artwork made out of real stone and placed it in a park and nature reserve in the London Borough of Redbridge. Called “Nothing is Set in Stone,” the piece is also a sound sculpture, and it’s just one of several installations that are part of London 2012 Festival’s Secrets: Hidden in London. One of the other works is “Northala,” (see photo above) in which environmental artists Red Earth combine sculptural elements with live performance in London’s lesser known but dramatic Northala Fields.
