Russell Tovey

When it comes to cameo TV spots, Russell Tovey sure gets around. We’ve seen him on Doctor Who twice, Ashes to Ashes, as well as Gavin & Stacey a handful of times. And now, BBC America’s favorite werewolf is heading to Sherlock. Yippee!

Digital Spy reveals that Tovey has been cast in the second episode entitled, “The Hounds of Baskerville.” The Mark Gatiss-penned storyline will see him play a “man who recruits Sherlock (Benedict Cumberbatch) and Watson (Martin Freeman) after suffering from a traumatic childhood experience.”

The 29-year-old Being Human star also took to Twitter earlier today (June 30) to share his excitement.

“Yep! I’m gonna be in BBC’s Sherlock… Official! X,” Tovey wrote. “Hound of the Baskervilles… And I am playing Henry… Good times x.”

How excited are you to see Russell Tovey on Sherlock?
