A week after Damon Albarn revealed that there was no way he’d let the Fox musical series Glee cover Gorillaz songs, the former Blur frontman stopped by CBC Radio’s Q show to put an exclamation point on his statement. Albarn told host Jian Ghomeshi why he thought programs like Glee were harmful. When asked if he thought Glee would help expose Gorillaz songs to the masses, Albarn responded, “That’s a silly, naïve idea about how to communicate ideas,” adding that it was “a homogenization” that “will ultimately lead to emptiness.” Here’s the clip, found via ONTD.
