Christopher Nolan finally offers a few clues about his third and final Batman film.

Speaking exclusively with The Los Angeles Times, the British-American writer and director confirmed that his forthcoming Bruce Wayne installment will be called The Dark Knight Rises. And you can scratch The Riddler off your list, too—he won't be cast as the film's resident villain like many had presumed.

Nolan, who directed 2005's Batman Begins and 2008's The Dark Knight, remained mostly tightly lipped about The Dark Knight Rises, but briefly eluded to a few ideas surrounding the famed superhero franchise. "We'll use many of the same characters as we have all along, and we'll be introducing some new ones," he said.

Christian Bale, Sir Michael Caine and Tom Hardy will star in 2012's The Dark Knight Rises.
