In recent news ford announced that in 2011 they are not only ramping up the V6 base model mustang to keep up with the new v6 camaro but are ALSO bringing back the 5.0 litre V8 and cali. special. to be honest, i think its going to blow the chevy out of the water. what do you think?

I think it is good for Ford and Chevy to be competitive again.  The problem is…..the Mustang could be so much better if Ford would spend some money on a suspension that could get around a corner.  How hard could it be????!!!  Going fast in a straight line is easy in either car. Going fast around a corner and not stuffing into a tree is even better.

My personal preference is the Camaro, truly amazing looking, and turns into a robot, apparently.
If I lived in the US, there would be one on my driveway, in orange, and definately not a Renault Laguna station wagon!

This is an old debate. To the walking man they are both killer vehicles.

Well, I’ve never driven either, so I’m gonna have to pick based on looks. And I’m probably the only one who thinks the Mustang is the better looker. But a 2010 GT in Grabber blue is hard to beat, IMO…

Both cars need to loose 500lbs and gain decent suspension and breaks, then they would be decent…I had a 2010 Mustang convertible for a bit but just could not live with it being all over the place for no reason

THey both have Huge potential, just a few tweaks to get there… my money is on Ford, and the new 5.0 is a good step.. i’d like to see to V6 Eco boost in there too

I think they’re both a bit heavy. But they sure are beautiful!

The Mustang will finally have enough muscle to beat the Camaro while that was the only thing it didn’t have over the Camaro V8 and V6. But, how much will the price rise?

i think they have increased the base model v6 from about 22k to around 24k and im guessing the GT will go from about 28k to 30 or 31. but im still looking around for official price.

If anyone is thinking of buying a mustang, please add ~$2k to get the rear suspension changed… It will change the whole car and make it actually worth it

i’d like to see to V6 Eco boost in there too

I agree! That would be a great way to make the V6 model look more appealing, because my uncle works for Ford, and he gets a 1 year lease, and he wasn’t a huge fan of the V6 mustang… Until winter came along. I can see it now: Mustang GT-6!
Even better: Put the ecoboost as an opition for all Ford cars and trucks! Turbocharging a car, believe it or not, can IMPROVE gas mileage, if you don’t stuff the gas pedal too often smile.

Understeer is when you hit the wall with the front of your car; Oversteer is when you hit with the rear. Horsepower is how fast you hit the wall, and torque is how far you take the wall with you.

If I compare the two 2010 model okay, the 2010 Shelby GT500 Mustang and the 2010 Camaro.
So to start off, I think the 2010 Shelby has waaaayy better looks than the Camaro, more in the black and blue.
For the engine, the Shelby wins a point there too, wich is more powerful.

The Mustangs are not known to go around corners like perfections but, flat out as I’ve seen it with all stock, it runs like lighting.
The price for the Camaro, if you think, is twenty some thousand dollards wich I think is pretty mild for a 2010 car that has 300 and 4 hp and has mild looks of an annoying bee.
Even if the Camaro is still a good car, I 100% think the Mustang is just the best choice.

Okay, check out this and this.  Not quite a real Trans Am, but better than nothing.

I personally don’t craze any of the two but, if I’d had to pick one, I’d pick the Camaro over the Mustang for the looks because the Stang looks dead ugly and the Camaro looks notorious compared to the Mustang.

In term of the power and the engine, I’d take the Mustang… inside I’m a little going for the Mustang because I really like the ‘69 so I’d take the Stang’s engine and power.
