Will’s previous private school education does little to prepare him for the rugged social landscape at Rudge Park Comprehensive School. Since transferring last year, Will has made three friends that are almost as tragic as him and failed all his exams in epic fashion. Trying to fit in is only one of his concerns, as Will’s headstrong attitude continually gets him into precarious situations.
Actor/comedian Simon Bird has been a staple of the Ministry of Laughs line-up, also starring in “Friday Night Dinner.” Simon was a member of the sketch comedy group “The House of Windsor” along with fellow “Inbetweeners” cast member and fellow Cambridge alumn Joe Thomas. At Cambridge, Simon was also a member/club president of Footlights, the famed theater group run by students.
In 2009 Simon won his second British Comedy Award, this time for Best Actor—in 2008 he won for Best Male Newcomer. He also received nominations at the 2008 Royal Television Society Awards for Best Comedy Performance and at the 2009 BAFTA Awards for Best Male Performance in a Comedy Program.
