Hasn’t Amy Winehouse reached her God-given limit on comebacks? There was the comeback at Mercury Prize 2007, the comeback at the 2008 Grammys, and, of course, the failed comebacks at St. Lucia and on Strictly Come Dancing. It’s rinse, relapse, repeat with this woman, and if she manages to show up without looking like a leper straight outta Leviticus, the media heralds the event like it’s Elvis Presley‘s 1968 special.

Of course, we do want this woman to succeed because she’s just so bleeding talented, but seriously people. Well, in her latest feat, the Lady Lazarus joined producer Mark Ronson and his new band The Business Intl onstage near the end of their set last night at London’s 100 Club. As NME reports, “Towards the end of the set Winehouse wandered onto the stage and hung around at the back. Then during the encore she sang her collaboration cover version of The Zutons‘ ‘Valerie’ with the band – although she forgot the words to the first verse.” Hey, it’s not true Winehouse without at least a minor snafu.

A fan shot some footage of Amy onstage, which you can see here. Mama and the newborn twins look healthy to me, although we’ve been deceived in the past. The start of the song is rough – she forgets the lyrics – and her gait’s unsteady, but the support of crowd helps her along, and by the end, she’s crooning rather confidently. I’m not getting my hopes up just yet, though.

For comparison’s sake, here’s Ronson and Winehouse’s recorded version of “Valerie”:
