Award-winning stand-up comedian Alun Cochrane has appeared on a range of popular TV shows including “Michael McIntyre’s Comedy Roadshow,” “Mock The Week,” “Dave’s One Night Stand,” “Never Mind The Buzzcocks,” “Have I Got News For You” and “8 Out Of 10 Cats.” Alun is co-host of “The Frank Skinner Show” on Absolute, for which he has received a 2012 Arqiva Award nomination for Best Newcomer. The show also won a Sony Award in 2011 for Best Entertainment Program and is nominated again this year. Other radio credits include “The Now Show,” “Just A Minute,” “Dilemma,” “Loose Ends,” and “Lee Mack And Friends.” Alun is an Edinburgh regular, earning himself four and five star reviews to go alongside the Writer’s Guild Award For Comedy. In 2011 he took his show “Alun Cochrane: Moments Of Alun” to the festival to great acclaim. The tour has since been extended into 2012 and is currently touring the UK. Alun is a master at observational comedy, telling tales about eating, sleeping, daydreaming, driving, being a son, father, brother, husband, friend, mortgage holder, clothes-wearer, car-owner, radio-listener, train-traveler, door-opener (and closer), alcohol-consumer, hangover-sufferer, newspaper flicker-througher, occasional football watcher, and general liver of life. In short, he gets material from anywhere he wanders in mind or body.
