If the comments on our posts are any indication, Mind the Gap readers certainly thrive on lively discussion. Now, we’re bringing the conversation to Twitter with #MindTheChat, a weekly hour-long discussion hosted by @MindtheGap_BBCA and @VirginAtlantic around topics important to British expats in America.

Starting May 3, every Friday at 1 pm ET/10 am PT, we’ll be joined by our fellow expat experts at @BritsinLA and @BigAppleBrits to answer your questions and provide everything from health care tips to the real dish on sourcing proper British food.

Start the conversation today by submitting your queries and suggestions using the #MindtheChat hashtag.

Kevin Wicks founded BBCAmerica.com's Anglophenia blog back in 2005 and has been translating British culture for an American audience ever since. While not British himself - he was born and raised in St. Louis, Missouri - he once received inordinate hospitality in London for sharing the name of a dead but beloved EastEnders character. His Anglophilia stems from a high school love of Morrissey, whom he calls his "gateway drug" into British culture.
