“Who’d want someone like me?” – Kieren
In his first life, Kieren was the quintessential teen whose life revolved around music, counter-culture and his best mate Rick.
But tragedy struck when Rick died in Afghanistan, causing Kieren to commit suicide, and then rise from the dead. Nine months later, he’s an undead functioning member of society – yet he’s desperate to get the hell out of Roarton.
After losing his friend and first-love, Rick, for the second time at the hands of his militant father, and Amy’s departure from Roarton, he feels even more alone.
Never comfortable with ‘what’ he now is, Kieren appears to be running away from himself. Will he ever be able to accept himself as undead? And can he escape before he’s caught in the cross-fire as two worlds collide?
