After failing to realize his dream of working in a Tex Mex restaurant in Leicester, OJ decided he would just have to settle for doing something in the world of media.
OJ started his radio career in Manchester and went on to broadcast for the Breakfast show at Manchester’s Revolution and Juice in Liverpool. OJ then stepped in front of the camera, his first presenting role was music show Radio Ga Ga on VH1 with Sarah Champion. Whilst part of the MTV stable of presenters he also fronted The Rewind Chart, The Film Show, Screen, as well as festival coverage from Ibiza and the Oxygen Festival for both VH1 and MTV.
Following on from this, OJ produced and presented his own Web Series, The Eleventh Commandment on BT podshow before launching the Freeview channel Nuts with Lyndsey Horne. He also covered the Darts in South Africa, raced a Ford Mustang across America in The Bullrun for Channel 4 and fronted the Cage Fighting reality show Fighting Hurts.
Radio came knocking again and OJ spent a year at Kerrang! Presenting the Drive time show with Kate Lawler and was part of the team that won Sony Gold in 2009.
OJ now presents The HomeTime Show on Key103 every weekday from 4-7pm, he is also one of the presenters for BBC1 National Lottery shows, and can be heard on BBC Radio2 having covered both for Adrian Lester and Janice Long. OJ is also the anchor for MMA Ultimate Challenge on Sky Sports as well as having hosted other martial arts shows including BAMMA for Bravo.
OJ is one of the three presenters on GizModo: Gadget Tester’s for BBC America, a brand new show that explores, challenges and rates the newest and most exciting gadgets on the market – as a gadget freak this is OJ’s dream show!
