Eugene Mirman is a comedian, writer, and filmmaker currently appearing on Adult Swim’s “Delocated” and Fox’s “Bob’s Burgers.” His brand of absurdist stand-up has won him a global following. He appeared on Chris Hardwick’s “Nerdist” podcast earlier this year.
Q&A:
If you had a TARDIS where would you go and why?
“I can’t decide if I’d go change something, like tell Lincoln to not go see a play. Or I’d go and be like, ‘Oh look at that, that’s the Wright Brothers goofing around. Look at them fail.’ And then steal their designs and own the world.”
Which time machine is the coolest, the TARDIS, the Delorean from ‘Back to the Future’ or the hot tub time machine.
“The traditionally coolest one is the Delorean. But the idea of a TARDIS and these infinite rooms is really cool.
If you could travel in time, what are the two things you would bring with you.
“Ipad and an infinite battery.”
What’s your favorite sci-fi space ship?
“The Millennium Falcon is one of my favorites.”
If you could be a companion to any of the Doctors, which Doctor?
“Matt Smith. He seems fun.”
Who would you cast as the first female Doctor?
“I like the idea of Hillary Clinton doing it.”
If you were the Doctor, who would your dream companion be?
“It would probably be my girlfriend, and also Hillary Clinton.”
If you met Alex out and about with his son, George, you’d probably think he was just a normal guy. He lives with George’s mom, Claire. They’ve got a nasty landlord and money worries but, worst of all, they fear there’s something terribly wrong with their son.
