Amy, Rory and River first encounter Canton Everett Delaware III when he is an old man in present day America. After the Doctor gets struck down in Utah, he gives them help and information, revealing that although they haven’t met him before, he has already met them…
The “young Canton,” who the Doctor, Amy, Rory and River befriend in 1969 is a charismatic former FBI agent. Quick witted and resourceful, he’s not intimidated by authority and speaks his mind even if it means offending the President of the United States. No wonder the Doctor likes him!
About Mark Sheppard
Mark Sheppard began his film career in Jim Sheridan’s 'In The Name Of The Father' playing Paddy Armstrong alongside Daniel Day-Lewis. He won the 1992 Drama Critic’s Circle Outstanding Achievement Award for his performance in 'A Cock & Bull Story.' He is best known for his memorable characters in shows such as 'Supernatural,' 'Battlestar Galactica,' 'Leverage,' 'Firefly,' 'Bionic Woman,' '24' and 'Warehouse 13.'
The Great Intelligence is a deadly parasite – a malevolent force lacking corporeal form that uses human beings as its servants, sometimes willingly, but often against its victim’s wishes.
Gangers were developed to work in environments too dangerous for people. Controlled remotely by a human operator they soon saved lives and money and most believed a Ganger was simply a tool, little more than a fork-lift truck.
Rory Williams is Amy Pond’s husband, a straightforward sort of guy who works as a nurse. He’s known Amy since they were children, when she made him dress up as her legendary ‘raggedy Doctor’.
