Jim Munro

Nominated for a DGC Award in 2008 for the Stone Angel and a Gemini in 2009 for Fifty Dead Men Walking (starring Ben Kingsley and Jim Sturgess), Jim Munro has been editing prolific work north and south of the border for 20 years. After transitioning from the commercial world into features, he cut The Size of Watermelons starring Paul Rudd and Liberty Stands Still for Lionsgate, which won Best Picture at the New York Film Festival. He has edited such Canadian films as Chicks With Sticks and Stone Angel and more recently Saidoweizu, the Japanese adaptation of the American hit Sideways as well as the war action movie Oba, The Last Samurai, based on a true story of the American invasion of Saipan. Most recently he cut the pilot Cracked for White Pine/CBC, multiple episodes for the series Copper for BBC AMERICA and the Eli Roth series Hemlock Grove for Gaumont/Netflix.
