Sergeant Padraic Byrnes is a corrupt cop within the ranks of the Sixth Precinct. Contemptuous of Corcoran, he plays both sides of the law by manipulating Captain Sullivan as well as victims and criminals. Byrnes goes out of his way to threaten, undermine and thwart Corcoran at every opportunity.
