Detective Andrew O’Brien is a colleague and companion to Corcoran and Maguire. Often teased about his acquiescence to his overbearing wife, he is fiercely loyal to his family and friends. Leaving a trail of tobacco spit in his wake, O’Brien never turns down the opportunity to have a drink or a laugh. Faithful to – and slightly afraid of – his wife, O’Brien will visit Eva’s for a drink, but never goes upstairs.
About Dylan Taylor
Dylan Taylor graduated from George Brown’s Theatre Conservatory in Toronto, Canada and in his first professional show, Bluffers Moon, he earned a Dora nomination for “Outstanding Performance.” Taylor began working in television with lead roles in the short films Oy, It’s A Boy, and A Dying Fall for CBC’s Zed TV, as well as The Nincompoops for Bravo! Canada. He then went on to co-star opposite Michelle Trachtenberg in the Lifetime movie-of-the-week The Dive from Clausen’s Pier, and has since guest starred in television series including The Jane Show, Life with Derek, Murdoch Mysteries, Aliens in America, Flashpoint, Rookie Blue, and Good Dog.
Taylor’s first series lead was in House Party in 2008. He then went on to become a fan favorite as a series regular on Defying Gravity, and can currently be seen in his recurring role on Covert Affairs. Taylor’s feature film credits include Terry Gilliam’s Tideland, The Incredible Hulk, and lead roles in Warriors of Terra, Hooked on Speedman, Indie Jonesing, as well as the cult hit Charlie Bartlett, and the legal thriller Reasonable Doubt, set for theatrical release in 2014.
