Supporting Cast
WPC Sharon ‘Shaz’ Granger (Montserrat Lombard)

A woman in a male environment, Shaz regards the boys with warm affection and vague amusement and takes most things on the chin. Shaz constantly surprises those around her: when she's not dressing up as a New Romantic, she's revealing her in-depth knowledge on the strangest subjects.
Caroline Price (Amelia Bullmore)

Alex's mother Caroline is a solicitor in 1981. Strong, intelligent and liberal-minded, she often represents those dealt a rough deal in life and this has brought her into conflict with the Metropolitan police many times. To Gene, she's a champagne socialist who defends those that don't deserve defense.
Evan White (Stephen Campbell Moore)

Evan works as a junior solicitor with Alex’s parents in 1981. His presence in 1981 is a comfort to Alex because she’s known him all her life as an avuncular, supportive family friend. She is stuck by how handsome he is in 1981, and their relationship is confused by a mixture of affection, familiarity and sexual chemistry.
Arthur Layton (Sean Harris)

Layton is a drug-addled man who shoots Alex and results in her going to 1981.
The Clown (Andrew Clover)

A man dressed in a Pierrot costume. Is he real or a figment of Alex's imagination?
