- Personal assistant to Home Office Civil Servant John Frobisher and a colleague of his for thirty years, Bridget is immensely devoted to him and will stop at nothing to protect his reputation.

- The Prime Minister approaches big decisions cautiously rather than rushing in blindly. He doesn't want to do anything that might badly affect his popularity in the press.

- Gwen’s former partner and good friend has never quite grasped what Torchwood is, and still believes that it’s a part of a police Special Ops division. He is always willing to trust them, mainly due to his friendship with Gwen. He’ll soon find himself defending Gwen and the others, despite Johnson and her soldiers branding them as terrorists.
