Following the launch of his first U.S. restaurant in New York, Gordon Ramsay returns with a new twist to the show in which he sets aside his famous, fiery temper to share his irresistible passion and enthusiasm for food.

This season there's even more jeopardy for Gordon as he's joined in the kitchen, not by his regular brigade of seasoned professional chefs, but passionate amateur cooks. In each episode, a new team of cooks line up to experience the white heat of Ramsay's presence as they face the awesome challenge of cooking and serving a three-course dinner for a restaurant full of diners. If they don't cut the mustard it's Ramsay's reputation on the line, especially as they're cooking for customers who will only pay if they think the food's worth it.

In addition Gordon serves up a mouth watering menu of features - exclusive new recipes that can be made at home, Gordon teaching how to make the most important meal of the week - Sunday brunch - and a visit to his back yard where this season, he's taken up the challenge of raising pigs in order to teach his kids the difference between pets and food. And as we've come to expect, there's a weekly visit from celebrities who throw down the gauntlet and invite Gordon to better their favorite dish in a recipe challenge.
