Dr. Caroline Todd, Surgical Registrar, played by Tamsin Greig of Black Books. She's the
highly anticipated, new, female doctor who arrives at the hospital in a whirlwind of body
odor and dirty linens. Amazingly able to get herself caught in the most embarrassing of
situations, Caroline is really only looking someone she can trust.

Dr. Mac McCartney, played by Julian Rhind-Tutt of Notting Hill.Clever, witty, and quite good
looking (if you like messy, ginger-haired types), this young doctor is still trying to get
over his last long-term relationship, but he can always spare a moment to spar with Dr. Guy
Secretan.

Dr. Guy Secretan, Anesthesiologist, played by Stephen Mangan of Billy Eliot.Is he truly God's
gift to women or just the most annoying braggart ever? It's hard to say, but that won't keep
this life-saving, motherless, public school-educated anesthesiologist from trying to pull any
semi-attractive woman who wonders onto his ward.

Joanna Clore, HR Director, played by Pippa Haywood.Moody, suspicious, and outrageously horny,
Joanna is on the prowl for a good shag - Dr. Statham just isn't cutting it. Meanwhile, she
handles her high ranking position in the hospital with ease despite the fact her sniveling
underlings are constantly getting on her nerves.

Dr. Alan Statham, Consultant Radiologist, played by Mark Heap of About a Boy.In between sharing
radiology jokes with his interns and inappropriately groping the HR Director, Alan spends his
workdays outsmarting younger doctors and hiding in his cupboard wearing only underpants and
playing a recorder. Do people not understand genius?

Sue White, Staff Liaison Officer, played by Michelle Gomez. When the staff find they need a
shoulder to cry on, they turn to Sue White and then instantly regret it. She is the staff's
counselor, but her surreal outbursts do little to soothe and more to confuse.

Dr. Martin Dear, Intern, played by Karl Theobald. Poor Dr. Dear will do anything to be
accepted by the other doctors, by his new-found love, and by his estranged "secret" mother.
He has yet to pass his exams, which does nothing to help his self-esteem or his love life.

Dr. Angela Hunter, Senior Pediatric Resident, played by Sarah Alexander of Coupling. She's
perky, blond, and a tad bit anal - the perfect roommate from hell as far as Caroline is
concerned. Along the hospital corridors she doles out smiles, gossip, and professionalism
in equal amounts.

Boyce, Junior Intern, played by Oliver Chris of The Office (Series 1). He's a young,
pretty-boy intern who spends his days toying with Dr. Statham and digging the dirt on
his more senior colleagues.
