Series: 1 | 2 | 3 | 4

S3, E1: Split

Continuing from the end of Series 2…

Susan and Steve have split, literally, and they are both sleepless and miserable.

Steve seeks solace in lager and dirty video games; Susan in a soggy handkerchief and self-help books about soul-mates, faith, and why men are rubbish. Both rally their friends and head for The Temple of Woman: a prodding, waxing, tweezing beauty salon for Susan, a whooping, hollering lap-dancing club for Steve where Jeff bumps into an old friend...

S3, E2: Faithless

Jane and Jeff are both having difficulty keeping the faith.

When the lovely Wilma asks Jeff out for a drink, he is sent into a spiral of tension. Is she making a move on him, or does she just want to be friends? Jeff can't be sure. Unable to face this challenge alone, Jeff concocts a clever scheme involving his mobile and a panel of 4 friends to interpret Wilma's statements. All is fine until Julia gets on the line.

Meanwhile, Jane goes ga-ga for the new religious broadcaster at the radio station when she watches him park his huge, red sports car into a tight little spot. But she can't believe he doesn't believe in sex before marriage, even when she offers to take her top off.

S3, E3: Unconditional Sex

Continuation of Episode 2…

A very nervous Jeff agrees to have a friendly drink with Wilma who comes clean…she fancies him like mad. After a spectacularly awkward, drink-sipping silence, Wilma offers him unconditional sex while the panel of 4 continues to listen in.

Jeff is no match in a debate with "devil woman" Wilma. She knows every argument to get what she wants from a man. Jeff paints himself into a terrifying conversational corner, until he is forced to blurt out the reason he can't have sex with Wilma.

S3, E4: Remember This

Sally is surprised when Patrick arrives at her flat at three in the morning to get rid of a spider for her. But she never phoned. It was all a dream which leads Sally to ponder the following questions: Does Patrick subconsciously want to protect Sally? Does Patrick even have a subconscious?

The next day, they each recount the events of the first night they met.

While Jeff expounds on Porn Jelly and his eight thousand names for breasts, Patrick and Sally try to face an uncomfortable truth.

S3, E5: The Freckle, the Key, and the Couple Who Weren't

Steve finds a freckle on his bottom and reaches for the Book of Death to diagnose the problem, Sally and Patrick have become new-partner-hating best friends, and everyone gathers around to meet James, Jane's celibate boyfriend.

Meanwhile, a kinky evening with Julia goes horribly wrong when Jeff has a Nudity Hoovering problem. Things go from bad to worse when Julia's violent ex turns up at her flat demanding to see her. Jeff narrowly avoids being beaten to a pulp, but his heart is in greater danger of being broken than his bones.

S3, E6: The Girl with One Heart

Susan's redecorated the bathroom and removed the lock, and there is no de-clenching in Steve's future without one. Even worse, Susan has invited everyone over for dinner (again). Patrick invites his new girlfriend along, and Jane attempts to get the extremely gorgeous pizza deliveryman who lives across the street to be her date.

In light of their last close encounter, Sally is extremely worried about meeting Patrick's new date. Fortunately, Patrick dimly perceives there might be a problem and attempts to head off danger by telling his new girlfriend, Jennifer, that Sally is a lesbian.

Jennifer turns out to be a nightmare, both slim and interesting. After they exchange a strange communication in the unlocked bathroom, Susan's dinner party goes horribly wrong.

S3, E7: Perhaps, Perhaps, Perhaps

Now that Sally has blurted out how she feels to Patrick, she has convinced herself it's not meant to be. More pressingly, she fears she may be pregnant, so she enlists Jane and Susan to be her pregnancy control test.

Susan admits that she and Steve have been having a problem and decided to get themselves checked out, which Steve can only do with the help of a porn menu, some impacted lesbians and a comfort pillow. Meanwhile Jane admits to having gone a bit mad a few weeks ago when she went to visit Jeff...
