Series 2, Episode 4

Dawn stumbles upon Tim and Rachel sneaking a snog in the corridor first thing in the morning. But that won't be her only shock of the day. David stolls in a little later with a bleeding ear.

David has re-pierced his ear for his debut as a motivational speaker, and he lets Dawn know that she's involved. He needs her to carry his bag, and he'll pay her £100 to do it.

Make it £80.

Meanwhile, Gareth also stumbles upon Tim and Rachel in the corridor. In disbelief he asks Rachel what she sees in Tim, "he's a weird little bloke... with a cartoon face and hair. He looks like a Fisher Price man." Gareth wants to know if anything could happen between him and Rachel while she's involved with Tim. What specifically? A hand job.

Back to David who has a couple problems to sort out before his big night. The first is the discovery that the Swindon lot has given him a couple nicknames: Bluto and Mr. Toad, "the ugliest of the amphibians." The second is Neil who just discovered some of the new staff have yet to been paid.

Neil warns him that this isn't the first time he has forgotten something important. But David has a word for the people who go over his head and cry to Neil: Snitches.

After work, David arrives at the community center for his speech with Dawn in tow. He has changed into his "expert speaker" gear: t-shirt, jeans, and a baseball cap.

He begins his lecture with a resounding "Get out!" and closes with a reading from "Collected Meditations." David intones that "the spiritual side needs as much care and attention as the physical side," and that the grass isn't always greener. Even if you have no arms and legs, at least you're not dead. Well, he'd rather be dead because he's just gotten into yoga... David exits stage left as Tina Turner belts out "The Best" on the boom box Dawn had to carry. The audience is stunned.

Backstage David admits to Dawn that he was worried about whether or not he still had it, "I'll let you be the judge of that. High five!"
