David arrives at The Office fashionably late in a new leather jacket, just like Neil's Armani.
But David doesn't really need the jacket and his new high-heeled boots to look cool. People can tell he's rock'n'roll through and through. He doesn't play by the rules, like "life fast, die young." His method? Live fast, die old.
Today is Trudy's birthday, and some of her office mates give her a couple off-color gifts: a leather bustier and a neon pink dildo. Gareth encourages her to try on the bustier, but he won't touch the sex toy (because "women who work in factories are slappers").
As the day progresses, Rachel encourages Tim to accept a dare: to hide the dildo in David's office while David meets with Neil. Tim accomplishes the feat with ease, while Gareth and Dawn look on.
A man and a woman from Cooper and Webb Consultants show up to see David who receives them coolly -- first he needs to check his mail, his voice mail, and his email. When he finds out they want to invite him to speak at a management training �??�?�¢?? at �???�??�?�£300 per quarter hour -- he's all ears.
David picks up his diary to see when he is available and unearths Trudy's present that Tim hid earlier. Is it harmless fun? In front of the consultants, David questions his staff: "What am I doing with a dildo?"
Cake and champagne are being passed around for Trudy's birthday. Neil planned the party and baked the cake. "A bit over the top, innit?" David prefers flan.
Finchy arrives at the party and greets Neil with a secret handshake. David jumps in on their conversation The Corrs, but he admonishes them both for being sexist and bawdy. Neil jokes that David would probably end up with the brother.
But David has a comeback, "I'd push the brother out the room, I'd get the other three, and I'd bend 'em all over." David accompanies his description with sexual gestures, causing staff members to stop and stare. David, realizing he's gone to far, points at Neil and says,"Oh, see. Your fault, putting filth in people's minds."
