My Family is Daniela's first comedy project and she is excited about the reaction her character has received.
"Janey is very rebellious and quite manipulative– and great fun to play! I found the character and the family dynamics hilarious," she says.
While Daniela acted in several episodes of the UK police drama The Bill, and played Saffie's daughter, Victoria, in a flash-forward episode of Absolutely Fabulous, it was her role as Sarah in UK soap, EastEnders that won her recognition and established her as one of Britains's most talented young actresses.
In 1999, Daniela left EastEnders. "It was a difficult decision to make, but I just felt it was time to do something different. I jumped at the chance to play Janey because she is very different from Sarah, and I have always wanted to have as varied a career as possible."
