Dylan Moran's big break came when he won the Channel 4 Comedy Newcomer's
Award So You Think You're Funny? at the 1993 Edinburgh Festival, before going on to win the Prestigious
Perrier Award in 1996.
His first major television role came in 1998 in BBC sitcom How Do You Want
Me? before he went on to co-write (with Graham Linehan) and star in the BAFTA and Bronze Rose of Montreux
award-winning sitcom, Black Books.
Moran performed Monster for BBC AMERICA Comedy Live following a sold-out,
critically acclaimed tour of the UK.
He began his stand-up career at Dublin's Comedy Cellar in 1992 and four
years later became the youngest ever performer to win a Perrier Award. In 1997, he embarked on his first
major stand-up tour in the UK, Gurgling For Money, followed by the sold-out tours of Ready, Steady⦠Cough
in 2000, and Monster in 2003.
Moran has performed at various international festivals including the Hay
Literary Festival, Montreal Comedy Festival, Vancouver Comedy Festival, and the Edinburgh Festival.
On the big screen, he has appeared in Notting Hill with Hugh Grant and Julia
Roberts, The Actors with Michael Caine, and Shaun of the Dead.
