Sebastian is the series creator of ‘Chef Race: U.K. vs. U.S.’ At 26 years of age, Sebastian Grant produced the Royal Shakespeare Company’s ‘Macbeth’ for Channel Four Television and in so doing became the youngest producer of a screened Shakespeare production in British History. The Daily Mail television critic called it the ‘best television Shakespeare I’ve ever seen.’
In the three years leading up to ‘Macbeth,’ Sebastian Grant was Production Manager on two series of the BAFTA award-winning arts series, ‘Tx.’ As well as the International Emmy-Award winning opera, ‘Gloriana,’ a film directed by Phyllida Lloyd.
Subsequent documentary work in his 20’s included the ground-breaking CGI documentary, ‘The Private Lives of Pompeii,’ for Channel Four, and A&E Television, as well as formatted arts series, ‘The World in Time’ for BBC and Alliance Atlantis in Canada.
Now in his late thirties, Sebastian Grant has filmed in over 20 different countries and traveled extensively to a further 50. He has filmed in 40 American States.
Producer performance credits include ‘Hamlet,’ starring David Tennant and Patrick Stewart, for BBC and PBS, as well as a second adaptation of ‘Macbeth’ (BBC / PBS), starring Patrick Stewart in the title role. This latest film of Macbeth was honored with a Peabody award in 2011.
Sebastian Grant’s Director / Series Producer credits are extensive and have ranged across a decade. They include ‘The British Face,’ ‘The Art of Faith,’, ‘Art Race,’ ‘Art of Survival,’ and ‘Artland’. He has produced and directed shows for all the UK terrestrial broadcasters.
