Cylon leaders, frustrated by the recent horrific suicide bombing, order the human police to arrest hundreds of suspected insurgents in a major crackdown on New Caprica. When Tigh refuses to stop the attacks, the Cylon leaders force President Baltar to sign a death warrant for two hundred of them, including Cally, Tom Zarek and Laura Roslin.
Meanwhile, on Galactica, Admiral Adama dispatches a small team to meet up with Tigh’s resistance fighters on New Caprica. Lee objects to such a risky mission, especially because the Cylon Sharon is to lead it—and convinces his father that the Pegasus must split from Galactica and lead the remainder of the civilian fleet deeper into space for their safety.
