With Adama still recovering from his bullet wounds, Colonel Tigh continues to struggle in his role as Galactica leader. The Quorum of Twelve arrives demanding to see President Roslin, and Tigh reluctantly agrees, hoping that Roslin’s recently erratic behavior will undermine their confidence in her. However, Roslin has regained her composure since her recent chamalla withdrawal and announces that she is the leader, spoken of in the Scrolls, who will lead the people to Earth.

Lee Adama leads a search-and-rescue mission to find the Raptor crew lost on Kobol, unaware that the Cylons have set up a missile battery in anticipation of such an effort. It’s up to the survivors on Kobol, exhausted and at odds with each other, to knock out the Cylon artillery before Galactica’s rescue team flies into the trap.
