About the Show
One of the most celebrated dramas on television, “Battlestar Galactica” is a classic adventure of a fleet of humans, victims of a devastating nuclear attack by the robot Cylons, fighting for survival. Faced with an un-winnable battle against a deadly enemy, they are forced to flee under the protection of their one remaining warship, the outdated battlestar Galactica. Pursued by the Cylons, some of whom have now taken human form, William Adama (Edward James Olmos) and Laura Roslin (Mary McDonnell) lead these last remnants of humanity in search of a new home—a planet called Earth.
Created by David Eick and Ronald D. Moore as a re-imagining of the 1978 TV series, the show’s exploration of provocative themes and character depth has earned “Battlestar” critical acclaim and several awards including a Peabody.
