Atwell accepted the mission, but not blindly, providing a disclaimer:

If the above photo is hard to make out, it’s because you’re only looking at one piece of her response. She clearly does things her own way, cleverly reproducing her photo in a puzzle-like update when sending back:

Atwell has signed on for the 2021 release, which will be the seventh movie in the franchise. Her role has yet to be announced. There are no details on the plot as of yet, but we do know, in addition to Cruise reprising his role as Ethan Hunt, we can look for other returning cast members like Simon Pegg as Benji Dunn and Rebecca Ferguson as Isla Faust.

You may know Atwell from her role as Peggy Carter in the Marvel movies, first popping up in 2011’s Captain America: The First Avenger. She also had her own spinoff TV series Agent Carter (2015-2016). You can also look for her in drama’s like the 2017 Howards End miniseries and in earlier work like 2008’s Brideshead Revisited.

The first M:I movie premiered in 1998 and the franchise is still going strong…
