Jodie Comer‘s epic week continues! After winning her first Primetime Emmy on Sunday night for her performance as Villanelle in BBC America’s Killing Eve, she’s now circling a major movie role.

According to Variety, the British actress is “in talks” to join The Last Duel, a revenge drama directed by Ridley Scott and starring Ben Affleck and Matt Damon.

Set in 14th century France, the film follows a man who returns home from war to find that his wife – the role Comer is eyeing – has been raped by his friend. When no one believes his wife’s story, he asks the King of France to grant a legally sanctioned duel between him and his former friend. Affleck and Damon, who won an Oscar for their Good Will Hunting screenplay, are co-writing the script with Can You Ever Forgive Me? writer-director Nicole Holofcener.

Perhaps strangely given all the talent involved, The Last Duel hasn’t yet been greenlit by Disney-Fox. However, Comer’s casting is said to be “a sure thing” if the movie does go ahead.

We do know for certain that shooting is now underway on season three of Killing Eve, in which Comer and co-stars Sandra Oh and Fiona Shaw will be joined by new cast members Dame Harriet Walter (Succession, The Crown) and Danny Sapani (Harlots, The Crown). On the big screen, Comer will be seen in Free Guy, a sci-fi comedy co-starring Ryan Reynolds and Channing Tatum due out July 3, 2020.
