Friends never really went off the air, with the show still on repeat in both the U.S. and U.K.

Jennifer Aniston, who played Rachel Green, swung by The Ellen Show for a catchup with host Ellen DeGeneres. Friends is such a beloved series and cultural phenomenon, it’s bound to come up in conversation.

DeGeneres turned to Aniston and said, “Do a Friends reunion, okay.” It wasn’t so much a question, but more of a polite directive. And what did Aniston say? She surprised the studio audience and agreeably replied, “Oooooh-kay.”

That’s not necessarily 100 percent confirmation, but Aniston seems really up for it: “Why not? Listen, I’ve told you this, I would do it.”

All right, that’s one friend out of the Friends cast. But, would the rest be keen on the idea? According to Aniston, that’s a hard yes: “The girls would do it. The boys would do it. Anything can happen.”

DeGeneres stepped in as the voice of reason, saying, “Even if someone can’t do it, you can do it.”

With Aniston on board, anything is possible.

The show aired its finale in 2004. Of late, it’s been a much talked about subject, with a lot of activity coming out of the Friends camp.

Matt LeBlanc, who played Joey, took over hosting duties for BBC America’s show Top Gear. A Ross lookalike — otherwise known as David Schwimmer — showed up in London on closed-circuit TV (spoiler: it wasn’t him). Lisa Kudrow is making her way back to TV, starring in Good People, opposite Greg Kinnear. Kudrow starred as the quirky Phoebe, and sometimes as Phoebe’s twin sister Ursula.

That just leaves Monica (Courteney Cox) and Chandler (Matthew Perry).

Shall we try to sway them all to come back in the comments section!?
