Canadian actress Evangeline Lilly gained an international audience with her breakthrough role in J.J.Abrams‘ TV series Lost (2004-2010). She’s not only making her return to TV but to her native Canada to shoot the Vudu series Albedo, reports Deadline Hollywood.
The story is set 150 years in the future, revolving around an intergalactic detective (Lilly) who travels the universe solving crimes.
In the eight-part series, Lilly’s Detective Vivien Coleman is called to the edge of the solar system to investigate a scientist found dead on an isolated space station. He wasn’t completely alone, with Coleman interrogating his fellow scientists-turned-suspects.
This sounds like the setup for the classic whodunit Clue, with a dead body, everyone who was present being a suspect, trapped in a mansion together. But this time around, the group is contained to a space station, cut off from Earth… or any kind of assistance.
Albedo has been in the works since 2016, and it’s expected to begin filming this May.
Lilly was recently spotted in 2015’s Ant-Man and the 2018 sequel Ant-Man and the Wasp. She currently stars in Avengers: Endgame, reprising her Ant-Man role of Hope van Dyne/The Wasp.
