From Skins to The Favourite, Nicholas Hoult‘s acting résumé is definitely varied, but his latest role sounds like another winner.
According to Variety, he’s signed up to appear in Those Who Wish Me Dead, a wilderness-set thriller starring Angelina Jolie.
Taylor Sheridan (Wind River, Yellowstone) is directing the upcoming movie, which is based on a 2014 novel by Michael Koryta. The story centers on a 14-year-old boy who’s hidden in a wilderness skills program under a false identity after he witnesses a brutal murder. His killers, meanwhile, are preparing to murder anyone who gets in their way while they track him down.
Hoult’s role in the movie is officially under wraps, but Empire reports that he’s thought to be playing one of the killers.
In the meantime, fans of the British actor won’t have to wait long to see him on screen again. He takes on the title role in literary biopic Tolkien, opening in theaters May 10. And then he appears in superhero sequel X-Men: Phoenix, out June 7, reprising his role as Hank McCoy a.k.a Beast alongside an ensemble cast that includes James McAvoy, Jennifer Lawrence, Michael Fassbender and Sophie Turner.
He’s also returning to TV in The Great, a period drama premiering on Hulu in 2020 in which Elle Fanning portrays iconic Russian leader Catherine the Great.
So basically, we have a Whole Lotta Hoult to look forward to.
