Ridley Scott (Alien) is heading to TV, making his series directorial debut with Raised by Wolves. But, don’t be confused by the title… we will not be going into the woods for this story.

In fact, it’s sci-fi, revolving around two android parents, who are raising human children on a newly colonized planet.

According to Deadline, the main cast has been confirmed, with Vikings star Travis Fimmel set to take the lead, Marcus. Just who Marcus is, is yet to be disclosed. But, we do know he was very keen to make the move, even convincing his reluctant medic wife (Niamh Algar) to join him.

The Mother and Father androids will be played by Amanda Collin and Abubakar Salim, respectively.

The casting is rounded out with Winta McGrathFelix JamiesonEthan HazzardAasiya Shah and Ivy Wong, who are set to portray the children.

The principal actors listed above aren’t necessarily household names, but with Scott’s track record in sci-fi... that could all change, sooner than later.

The series will air on TNT, with a premiere date yet to be announced.
