HBO is premiering a new TV series, a Japanese original production called Miss Sherlock, now available for streaming on HBO Go and HBO Now, reports Den of Geek.

In the trailer we meet Sherlock, played by Yuko Takeuchi, and her crime-solving partner, Dr. Wato Tachibana (Shihori Kanjiya).

This modern day version is just the latest TV homage to Sir Arthur Conan Doyle‘s Sherlock Holmes stories. And this Sherlock has all the trademark idiosyncrasies we’ve grown accustomed to, like going into her mind palace.

There are some differences, though, other than location and gender. For a start, this Sherlock lost her parents in a plane crash at the age of seven, which is a part of why she is emotionally distant. The other reasons? Well, that’s just Sherlock for you.

There are eight episodes of Miss Sherlock, with some titles resembling the BBC’s Sherlock, like “The Missing Bride,” which makes us think of “The Abominable Bride.” You can check out all of the episode names and descriptions over at Den of Geek.

Are you going to give Miss Sherlock a chance? Or, is there really only one Sherlock?
