It’s Ewan McGregor‘s turn to play the real-life Christopher Robin, and a trailer released yesterday (March 6) gives us our first glimpse at him in the role.

He plays the son of author A.A. Milne in Christopher Robin, the live-action film that reunites two of the most beloved friends in literature.

Unlike last year’s Goodbye Christopher Robin, which starred Domhnall Gleeson as the Winnie the Pooh author and eight-year-old Will Tilston as his son, this film portrays Christopher as a grown-up businessman, who, in a Hook-like twist, hasn’t seen his childhood bear in a very long time.

He faces a moral dilemma when his power-hungry boss (Mark Gatiss) pressures him to forego a weekend trip with his wife (Hayley Atwell) and young daughter to lay off employees at his workplace.

Who could possibly help him choose? Enter one bear with very little brain:

The teaser trailer only shows Christopher and Pooh (voiced by Jim Cummings), but all the Hundred Acre Wood friends will eventually appear in the movie: Tigger will be voiced by bouncy Chris O’Dowd, Eeyore by Everybody Loves Raymond‘s Brad Garrett, Owl by Sherlock‘s Toby Jones, Piglet by Nick Mohammed, Kanga by Sophie Okonedo (The Hollow Crown), while Rabbit will be voiced by newcomer Peter Capaldi. (Nope, never heard of him either.)

Christopher Robin opens in theaters on August 3, 2018.
