We’ll be getting more of Sean Bean (Game of Thrones) this spring when his new crime drama, The Oath, premieres on the Crackle streaming service on March 8, reports ComingSoon.net.

The fast-moving trailer reveals the world of crooked cops who operate in close-knit gangs. The show creator Joe Halpin perhaps looked to his past life for inspiration. He worked as an undercover police officer in L.A. for 12 of his 17 years on the force, so we’re guessing he crossed paths with plenty of not so savory sorts.

We’re first introduced to Bean as Tom Hammond, the show’s antihero and leader of a prominent cop gang, wearing an orange jumpsuit and walking through a prison. In a later scene, he’s in plain clothes, brandishing a gun. He’s been released, which leads us to wonder: what’s on his agenda?

Bean is joined by Ryan Kwanten (True Blood), taking on the role of a police officer named Steve Hammond, the elder Hammond’s son.

The trailer doesn’t tell us much but it will make your blood pressure soar in just a few seconds:

The series is produced by Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson, who we just mentioned in a post about the forthcoming Den of Thieves sequel. The ensemble cast also includes Michael Malarkey (The Vampire Diaries), Eve Mauro (CSI: Miami), Kwame Patterson (The Wire), Linda Purl (Homeland), and Elisabeth Rohm (Law & Order).

Are you excited to see Sean Bean in this role?
