If you’re biting your nails over Game of Thrones concluding in 2018, imagine what the stars might be thinking. In this case, we don’t have to make a guesstimate: Maisie Williams, who stars as Arya Stark, maps out her feelings on what’s to come.

The GoT set has been her home away from home since 2011, when the series kicked off. In the off-season, she worked on other projects like guest-starring on Doctor Who in 2015, and more recently, she took the lead in this year’s Netflix movie iBoy.

The young actress recently expressed both excitement and trepidation over making the split, reports RadioTimes.

She started off the interview, saying, “I’m really excited for Game of Thrones to finish and there’s going to be time for me to do whatever I want… it will be nice to pick roles that I want to do.”

It is exciting. Especially keeping in mind Williams is 20-years-old and has an entire career in front of her. It’s easy to forget her age, considering she took on the role of the mini Stark warrior when she was 14.

She considers this a chance to grow, saying, “I can show the world what sort of actress I want to be and shape my career a little bit.”

The young actress understands risks come with these new adventures, saying, “On one hand it’s really nerve-wracking to know that I won’t have that support blanket and safety net, but on the other hand I’m free.”

But Williams is already thinking about her future beyond acting, explaining, “I’ve just started a production company, so I’m now realizing how hard the industry can be.”

In additions to what she’s currently working on, she shared a “wish,” putting it out there that she’d like to work with director Dexter Fletcher (Eddie the Eagle).

It is not a bad idea to make wishful thinking public. Dame Helen Mirren mentioned wanting to star in the Fast and Furious franchise, and you saw what happened there (hint: it happened).

The final season of Game of Thrones premieres in summer of 2018. In the meantime, we can look for Williams in the X-Men spin-off, The New Mutants, coming out April 18, 2018.

We’ve been fanning over Miss Maisie for a while, like with this 10 Reasons We Can’t Get Enough of Maisie Williams post, and it’s not going stop with the end of Game of Thrones.
