Audiences fell in love with Margot Robbie‘s Harley Quinn in the 2016 film Suicide Squad, making the villainess the most popular Halloween costume two years in a row.

There’s a reason Harley resonated with viewers. She was no damsel in distress, but instead held her own amongst a group of rough and tumble superhuman baddies.

Kicked into a vat of acid by the Joker, her partner and abuser, Harley Quinn lost her mind. Still, she could hold it together for the most part, like when tasked with saving the world as part of the Suicide Squad.

And now the Joker’s better half is getting her own show, reports Deadline Hollywood. Warner Bros. has ordered 26 animated episodes, 30 minutes each, geared toward adults.

That makes sense, considering Harley has always been a bit risqué:

On the other hand, the Joker is all business. And he’s going to be more than a little envious when he hears about her going solo. But, who knows, maybe he’ll swing by.

The action-comedy series, called Harley Quinn, will also feature the DC villainous Poison Ivy. There is a whole bunch of characters, old and new, set to join in, but their identities have yet to be revealed.

This is the third DC series to be greenlit by Warner Bros., in addition to the live-action Titans and revival of the animated series, Young Justice.

There’s also talk of a Harley Quinn spinoff movie, with Margot Robbie reprising the role.

Harley Quinn is on a roll… does she even need the Joker?
