Daniel Radcliffe never ceases to amaze us, but in this case, he may have even surprised himself. It’s being reported by The Evening Standard, the actor consoled a tourist after being attacked by robbers, who were traveling by moped and armed, in Chelsea, London.
Unfortunately, the robbers did get away with snatching the man’s bag and not only that, the victim, in his 50s, was slashed in the face.
Former police detective David Videcette was on the scene, providing his account of the suspicious moped drivers and the aftermath, saying, “The victim was very, very shaken up.”
But, on a lighter note, the detective was genuinely surprised by who came to the victim’s aid, relaying to the Standard, “It was a bit of the surreal moment, I said ‘you’re Daniel Radcliffe’ and he replied, ‘I am.’ ”
“He was a really nice bloke, a lot of stars wouldn’t have stopped to help,” Videcette added.
Daniel’s reps confirmed to Fox News that he was in fact on the scene but couldn’t comment on his involvement because “it’s a police matter.”
He was in the right place at the right time to help this poor fella laying on the ground.
Possibly the surprise appearance of “Harry Potter” at his side could have lifted his spirits?
Let’s hope this doesn’t become a pattern, but this isn’t the first time an Anglo favorite stumbled upon a crime as it was happening. Tom Hardy recently stopped a robbery and helped apprehend one of the thieves, putting him under citizen’s arrest.
