Aww! Get this, guys: Robert Downey Jr. has shared a photo of himself on the set of Avengers: Infinity War with Benedict Cumberbatch, tagging the Instagram update with #holmies. Get it? Because there’s two Sherlock Holmes in one snap.
That’s right, our second favorite Sherlock Holmes (sorry, Robert) is currently hanging out with our number one in Atlanta, Georgia, while they film the mega Marvel blockbuster.
Robert is of course reprising hios role as iron Man — and seems to be wearing a black, more svelte version of his superhero suit — while Benedict is dressed as Doctor Strange for the first time since his standalone film was released last year.
Also in the photo are Mark Ruffalo, who plays the Incredible Hulk, and Benedict Wong, who takes on Doctor Strange’s sidekick Wong. We’re not quite sure why they’re posing like this, but we’re sure it made sense at the time:

The film is due out in May 2018, and gives new meaning to the term “ensemble cast,” with appearances by A-listers like Scarlett Johansson (Black Widow), Chris Evans (Captain America), Bradley Cooper (Rocket), Benicio del Toro (The Collector), Chris Hemsworth (Thor), Tom Hiddleston (Loki), Idris Elba (Heimdall), Brie Larson (Captain Marvel), Samuel L. Jackson (Nick Fury), Paul Bettany (Vision), Tom Holland (Spider-Man), Karen Gillan (Nebula), Anthony Mackie (Falcon), Elizabeth Olsen (Scarlet Witch), Paul Rudd (Ant-Man), Zoe Saldana (Gamora), Chris Pratt (Star-Lord), Jeremy Renner (Hawkeye), Chadwick Boseman (Black Panther) and Dave Bautista (Drax).
Phew! And if that weren’t enough, Josh Brolin will play Thanos, the evil superbeing trying to impose his will on reality by amassing all the Infinity Stones. The Avengers, torn apart after the events of 2016’s Captain America: Civil War, must join forces with the Guardians of the Galaxy to stop him, hence the enormous cast.
According to directors Anthony and Joe Russo, there could be as many as 67 comic book characters turning up in the film, so here’s hoping the on-set caterers have enough salad and hot sauce to go around.
