Fences may not be a feel-good movie per se, revolving around a struggling father in the racially-charged 1950s, but the film’s stars, Denzel Washington and Viola Davis, can nevertheless take a step back from their work and cherish the moments that make them the happiest.
Washington and Davis were joined by some of their Fences co-stars (Jovan Adepo, Stephen Henderson, Saniyya Sidney) and other familiar faces, including Russell Hornsby (Lyon) and Al Sharpton, at the NYC premiere of the adaptation.
They were kind enough to take some time out on the red carpet to tell Anglophenia what takes them to their #happyplace:
Everyone has their own version of real happiness. Why are we going around asking people about theirs? Well, we’re experiencing some very real happiness ourselves now that David Attenborough‘s Planet Earth is returning after a ten-year hiatus. Planet Earth II premieres on BBC America on February 18.
