After a heavily promoted build-up, it was finally Madonna‘s turn to carpool with James Corden last night (December 7), and guess what? She didn’t disappoint.

The usual L.A. freeways were replaced by New York traffic, meaning a visibly stressed James required the kind of driving skills the Material Girl was all too happy to provide.

“He cut you off!” she shouted as a bus drove into their lane. “Let’s drive up next to the bus. I’m gonna give him what’s what.”

Needless to say the next few seconds of the tape were cut in the edit.

The driving lesson was interspersed with the pair singing along to the radio, including a physically demanding version of “Vogue” that will get even the most curmudgeonly of Madonna critics vogueing in their seat, as well as “B*** I’m Madonna,” “Papa Don’t Preach,” “Express Yourself,” and “Ray of Light.”

Ever the Broadway fan, James also brought up Madge’s starring role in the film version of Evita, which prompted an a cappella rendition of “Don’t Cry For Me, Argentina” that left not a dry eye in the house car.

James then shifted gears, changing the topic of conversation to her taste in men, navigating some pretty outrageous flirting followed by a dig at his dress sense, before eventually getting Madge to admit to snogging Michael Jackson.

In a clip full of revelations, however, the biggest one came midway when Madge claimed: “I don’t smoke, I don’t drink, I don’t party. I’m quite square.”

Really?” exclaimed James, not for the first time in this eye-popping segment. Watch and see if you believe her:

We may need to update our post ranking all of the “Carpool Karaokes” as of last month with this doozy of a trip.

C’mon, be honest: Did you strike a pose while watching this?
