Looks like the description of the cast of the upcoming comedy heist movie Ocean’s Eight can be changed from “all female” to “mostly female” with the latest addition.

The reboot of the Ocean’s Eleven franchise sees Sandra Bullock playing the George Clooney role (or Frank Sinatra if you reach back to the 1960 Rat Pack original) of the leader of a gang of thieves and cons who try to pull off a major heist.

And whereas some of Hollywood’s most famous actors such as Brad Pitt and Don Cheadle played the gang members in the 2001 update, this reboot boasts a roll-call of leading ladies: Cate Blanchett, Anne Hathaway, Rihanna, Helena Bonham Carter, Mindy Kaling, Sarah Paulson, and rapper Awkwafina.

Such oestrogen-fuelled awesomeness doesn’t mean they can’t throw their male counterparts a bone every now and then, of course.

Last month we found out Matt Damon will have a cameo in the movie, presumably reprising his role of pickpocket Linus Caldwell, and today (December 7) comes word that another bearer of the Y-chromosome will play the movie’s baddie.

Variety reports none other than Homeland star Damian Lewis will play be the “ex-lover” of Sandra’s character, as well as the target of her crew’s big heist.

It’s unclear whether he’ll be yet another casino owner, or just a rich jerk who wronged Sandra in some way, but either way, that is one hell of a way to get back at an ex.

The ladies better watch out, though: Last time Damian played a role associated with multiple women it was Henry VIII, and things didn’t work out well for them at all.

Ocean’s Eight opens in theaters in June 2018.
