Welcome to this week’s Doctor Who‘s Day roundup, a cosmic rallying point for all manner of Whovian news and fan endeavors from the last week or so across the web.

And this week has been exceptionally busy, starting with the visit to New York Comic Con by Peter Capaldi, Pearl Mackie, Steven Moffat, Matt Lucas and Brian Minchin to discuss the Doctor Who Christmas special (of which more in a moment) and Season 10.

You can see selected highlights of the Doctor Who panel here, with Peter Capaldi discussing a particularly formative confrontation with a Dalek:

Speaking of which:

The whole panel is here:

The team also took part in an Amazon Live Q&A…

…and a cross-fandom Marvel interview…

…and a Facebook Q&A (in two parts)…

…and Steven Moffat got to offer some idea of what Season 10 will contain:

It was also a chance for old friends to catch up. Here, for example, is an amazing shot showing the Doctor and the Doctor and River Song and Clara all together again:

And while all of that is amazing, it is by no means all that has happened in space and time this week:

• The Doctor Who Christmas special has been announced! It will be called “The Return of Doctor Mysterio”—international Whovians will know that Doctor Who is called Doctor Misterio in Latin America—and will feature a superhero.

The revelations started with this super teaser:

Something's on its way… …so keep your eyes peeled to the official #DoctorWho IG and Twitter accounts! #whovian

• And then this, a first look backstage:

• And we will see the Doctor pulling this face:

And it’s not just the Christmas special that has suddenly come into focus. The first Class trailer was revealed too:

• Trailed by this atmospheric teaser, starring a very familiar face:

• The return of an ancient foe:

• That’s Mr. Doctor Who, to you:

• This is great:

• Fan favorite audio drama “The Chimes of Midnight” gets a vinyl release:

• Speaking of audio drama, how about this account of the War Doctor in The Time War:

• Is Karen Gillan becoming a mummy (not like that)?

To finish this week, let’s go back to NYCC, and settle down with a nice long fan-made video of Matt Smith, Jenna Coleman and Alex Kingston at their Doctor Who panel:
