Welcome to the Doctor Who‘s Day roundup, an extraterrestrial smorgasbord of Whovian confections and delights.

First up: The British public has selected the TARDIS as their favorite fictional TV home, a new study reveals according to Radio Times. The iconic blue box that’s bigger on the inside came in ahead of Downton Abbey‘s Highclere Castle, Southfork Ranch from ’80s soap Dallas, and Monica and Rachel’s oversized New York apartment on Friends. Other pads on the list included Carrie Bradshaw’s apartment on Sex and the City (No. 6), 221B Baker Street on Sherlock (No. 8), and Frasier’s penthouse on Frasier (No. 9).

• Of course, the iconic design has long provoked fan imaginations, like that of Andris Mihalko, who created this wonderful 360° TARDIS interior:

• Watch an actual tour of the TARDIS from a couple years back. Yeah, now this is living:

• And here’s Edward Thomas explaining how the team created the TARDIS interior for the first season of Doctor Who:

Matt Lucas (Nardole) will join Peter Capaldi, Pearl Mackie, lead writer and executive producer Steven Moffat, and executive producer Brian Minchin for the Doctor Who panel at New York Comic Con on Friday, October 7, BBC AMERICA has revealed. BBC AMERICA’s takeover, which will be presented at The Theater in Madison Square Garden, will begin at 10:30 a.m. and feature panels from the Doctor Who spinoff Class and the new original series Dirk Gently’s Holistic Detective Agency.

Here’s what else has been going on in space and time this week:

• The Doctor wears a top hat now. Top hats are cool:

Patrick Ness introduces Class:

• Speaking of which:

• Oh and LOOK who stopped by to say hello:

• This modern classic two-parter begins with waltzing and the actual great-great-great grandson of Charles Dickens in a major role:

…and ends with the history of a hymn to duty and the gift of immortality:

• The Eighth Doctor and River Song take flight:

• Karen Gillan works out:

Dan Starkey (Strax and various other Sontarans) plays a game called “Sontaran or Potato?” in an episode of Doctor Who: The Fan Show:

Christel Dee discusses the Sontarans with Starkey:

• Starkey also participates in a quick Q&A for The Fan Show, answering the question which incarnation of the Doctor he’d most like to travel with and why:

• Two words that clearly do not belong together: Dalek and “Rolykin”

• We’ve watched this maybe 50 times on a loop:

This time last year, we were looooving this! 😉 #DoctorWho #whovian
